A master planned community for Emiratis in Abu Dhabi on a 1350 hector site providing 5,000 new villas. McLundie were commissioned back in 2007 by Aldar, the largest developer in Abu Dhabi, to masterplan a new community for 80,000 Emiratis, which were to form part of the Sheikh’s housing programme. This resulted in a complete community build, which not only included accommodation but also all the amenities dwellers would need for day to day living, including a shopping mall, hospital, fire station, police station, village centre and public parks.
